What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses Solution Focused Therapy in conjunction with hypnosis to get the best results to help you to achieve your goals. Hypnosis is merely a state of relaxation, or trance, which allows you to access your conscious and subconscious mind to work to achieve the results you want. Hypnotherapy cannot make you do anything that you do not wish to do, so a level of commitment from clients is required.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy assumes that you, the client, are the expert on you, and, with support, can come up with solutions to the issues you wish to improve on. It is a positive, brief intervention, which focuses on the here and now, with no need to revisit your past. It is based on neuroscience and is backed by scientific evidence. Most people have 8-12 sessions but sometimes more. Smoking Cessation is the exception as it is a single extended session.

The first session is called the Initial Consultation and there is no fee. It will explore what you wish to achieve and explain how hypnotherapy can help you to achieve this. Please  see “Session Format” section for further information.
